    Currently a SiVEST Director, Warwick has responsibilities in the Engineering and Environmental Divisions of SiVEST, including co-ordinating integrated engineering infrastructure projects in a close working relationship with SiVEST's other divisions. Warwick is a registered Pr.Eng with 20 years experience in his field.

    International experience gained in civil infrastructure assessment assignments in developing countries outside lthe RSA include Angola, Botswana, Namibia, Swaziland, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Uganda, DRC, Republic of Congo and Kenya.

    Experience gained in a variety of water, stormwater, sewerage and waste water related projects. These include infrastructure master planning and policy studies, environmental investigations, stormwater pollution control from large industrial sites, hydrological and floodline assessments of river catchments, bulk water and waste water projects for municipalities and large private sector industries, as well as rural, peri-urban and urban water supply and sanitation feasibility studies and capital projects.

    Experience in appropriate technology detailed design of water, drainage and sanitation systems for developments in rural and urban areas, water scarce and environmentally sensitive areas, high density low cost housing areas, and remote developments.

    Experience in regional and local water and wastewater infrastructure masterplanning including the identification of development, engineering and financial scenarios and the use of computer based models for optimisation, analysis and selection of these scenarios.

    Experience in assessing and designing the bulk water and bulk effluent needs of large industries in the sugar, yeast, timber, food processing and other sectors.

    Bulk infrastructure assessments and feasibility studies for large mining and agro-industrial projects in various countries in Africa.

    In 1971 Steve joined the National Railways of Zimbabwe (NRZ) and in 1976 he attended University of Cape Town on a bursary from NRZ and completed a BSc Eng Hons degree in 1979. He worked as an Engineer for NRZ progressing to District Civil Engineer and Projects Engineer responsible for NRZ projects nationally. In 1984 he joined Scott Wilson in Zimbabwe as an Engineer and Project Manager with Scott Wilson until 1997 when he was asked to join Scott Wilson SA to expand their industrial market.

    In 1997 Steve joined Scott Wilson SA in Durban and was appointed as a Project Manager and Marketing Director of the Company. There was a management buyout of Scott Wilson SA in early 2000's and Scott Wilson SA became SiVEST.

    His work in Africa and South Africa as a project manager has included work on retail; commercial and industrial developments, the value of projects ranging between R27m and R800m. In 2006 he moved to Johannesburg to manage and develop the Johannesburg office of SiVEST.

    Recent projects Steve has been involved in as a Project Manager include shopping centres' sugar factory upgrade; sugar factory feasibility study, factory shutdowns, Project Management training, food processing factory, development of project procedures for a large industrial client; a large multi purpose sports facility installation in Zambia for the International Olympic Committee (IOC).

    Steve has been extensively involved in the set up of Technical Forensic Assurance (Pty) Ltd (TFA) and in the deliverables on the initial projects carried out by TFA.

    Corporately Steve is the Marketing Director and also holds the position of Chairman of the SiVEST Board.

    Garth has been involved in the project and the construction environment for the past 31 years. Garth has been involved in buildings (schools, hospitals, residential flats & Government buildings) and Civil Infrastructure projects (reservoirs sugar cane haul roads & highways). In his capacity as Project Engineer, involvement includes the design of building and civil infrastructure projects. Garth specialises in the infrastructure services and housing sectors and has been responsible for the implementation of major projects throughout KwaZulu-Natal and internationally.

    Extensive experience working with the various funding agents like the Department of Human Settlement, Consolidated Municipal Infrastructure Programme, and Municipal Infrastructure Grants (MIG) Department of Water Affairs, and other donor agencies. This has involved the compiling of applications, business plans and financial plans and the overall management of the projects once funding is approved.

    Garth has established relationships with SANRAL, DOT, various departments within eThekwini Municipality (Development Engineering, ETA, eThekwini Water and Wastewater, eThekwini Electricity, numerous municipalities throughout KZN, Telkom, Eskom and Umgeni Water, and therefore is familiar with their processes and procedures. Extensive exposure to all aspect of projects from inception to close out in a wide range of Civil Engineering and Buildings specialised disciplines.
